It is very important to interview a prospective breeder and ensure you are getting a healthy puppy with a loving temperament. It can be challenging for a first time puppy buyer to know what questions to ask and what answers you need to hear. I have created a Breeder Interview Checklist containing questions I ask when looking to purchase a puppy to add to my kennel. I have also provided the answers I need to hear before moving forward with buying a puppy from that breeder. Reputable breeders will be glad to answer each and every question. In turn, a reputable breeder should ask you questions to ensure their puppy is going to a good home. If a breeder doesn't ask you any questions, but only asks to see your checkbook, walk away. |
